As human beings we learn from each other and hopefully in each iteration we all improve on the original.
When we imitate we make an exact or bad copy of the original. We do so without thought and often we copy the shortcomings, faults of mistake of the object we are copying because we copy without thought.
The smart person takes time to analyse the original and get behind the thought or idea.
A smart approach to modelling is not to copy the theme but to copy the underlying concept, strategy, or pattern.
This way you can refine or improve on the original, understand it’s shortcomings, and do it better.
Are you a modeller or an imitator ?
